“What a fabulous experience! After another company had difficulty determining the reason that my HVAC system shut off when I tried to start the air conditioning, Kappler came to the rescue. I would have called Kappler to begin with, had I known that they were the original installer, but I didn’t spot their sticker inside the unit until the cover plate was removed. Ryan, who I later learned is the owner, struck me as extremely patient and knowledgeable during my initial call. He spent at least 40 minutes on the phone with me, looking in his records to learn the details of my setup and discussing several possible directions for further investigation. Then he sent out his most experienced technician, Ulises Felipe, who turned out to be an excellent diagnostician! The previous company had left several wires disconnected, so Ulises had to deal with that before tracking down what turned out to be two different issues. At my request, he also explained his findings to me in detail, showing me various aspects of my HVAC system’s construction and operation. His demeanor seemed similar to Ryan’s, and I think he would make an excellent instructor for other technicians. When all was done, my out-of-pocket cost was about one fifth of what the original company had predicted I would need to spend to fix the problem.”
