She explained the operation of the heat pump system and took photos of the outdoor location of mechanical equipment, the electric panels and the mechanical room. Then we sat down and discussed her recommendations for out proposed system.
Overall the visit was very helpful in learning about heat pumps and the other equipment we'd need to have installed. She was extremely nice and professional.”

“Getting a heat pump and mini-split system installed by Kappler Mechanical was a great experience from start to finish. We had a 22 year old gas furnace and want to move our home to an electric (and hopefully, more/all renewable energy) future. “We had an error code show up on our furnace yesterday and called Kappler today – the answering service was courteous and I received a timely call back from Kappler. Since the furnace wasn’t functioning properly, Kappler arranged for Travis to come out that afternoon. Travis promptly diagnosed the problem ( a fault code that another HVAC company couldn’t apparently diagnose) and proceeded to go ahead and perform routine winter maintenance as well. He was efficient in his actions and had our system checked out and our filters cleaned pretty quickly. He at all times observed customary practices in keeping customer’s homes clean and neat. “I was experiencing a problem with water accumulating in the sheet metal pan that my furnace sits in. I contacted the Kappler office and asked when I could have a technician come out to diagnose my problem. Much to my delight a trained technician was able to come out the same day and evaluate and fix my problem.
Ulises Felipe was my technician and did an excellent job of diagnosing the problem and immediately fixing what was causing the leaking water. He also did a quick evaluation of my furnace air conditioner evaporator coils and drain system and rewired the float switch to prevent the problem from happening again.
Ulise’s was very knowledgeable, professional, and provided excellent customer service, so much so that I will be using Kappler Mechanical for all of my HVAC needs going forward. It is nice to see that there are still companies that value customer service based. Well done, Daniel Christensen”

He was able to answer all my questions regarding power requirements, winter heating and summer cooling, and details of the impact of our current duct system. I was adamant about not including a gas backup system and he has provided an excellent heat strip solution. We went through the configurations on how to place each of the units. He was also able to make an estimate with the rebates that would be attainable (which are significant). I feel confident that he has proposed a very acceptable green solution to replacing our air conditioner and gas furnace with a much more efficient and capable system.”

Quickly determined that it was the blower wheel that needed to be cleaned (shame on me, I knew it needed to be but did not think it was the root cause). Looked at two other heads to confirm they were working and said again it is likely the blower wheel not moving enough air. Seemed to be quite knowledgeable on the system overall. Must better service than the original installer when they came out last summer for the same issue (who did not even come inside to look at the head!). Earned my return business.”
