“What a fabulous experience! After another company had difficulty determining the reason that my HVAC system shut off when I tried to start the air conditioning, Kappler came to the rescue. I would have called Kappler to begin with, had I known that they were the original installer, but I didn’t spot their sticker inside the unit until the cover plate was removed. Ryan, who I later learned is the owner, struck me as extremely patient and knowledgeable during my initial call. He spent at least 40 minutes on the phone with me, looking in his records to learn the details of my setup and discussing several possible directions for further investigation. Then he sent out his most experienced technician, Ulises Felipe, who turned out to be an excellent diagnostician! The previous company had left several wires disconnected, so Ulises had to deal with that before tracking down what turned out to be two different issues. At my request, he also explained his findings to me in detail, showing me various aspects of my HVAC system’s construction and operation. His demeanor seemed similar to Ryan’s, and I think he would make an excellent instructor for other technicians. When all was done, my out-of-pocket cost was about one fifth of what the original company had predicted I would need to spend to fix the problem.”

“Kim showed up promptly on time and looked around surveying our set-up. She explained the operation of the heat pump system and took photos of the outdoor location of mechanical equipment, the electric panels and the mechanical room. Then we sat down and discussed her recommendations for out proposed system.
Overall the visit was very helpful in learning about heat pumps and the other equipment we'd need to have installed. She was extremely nice and professional.”

“Getting a heat pump and mini-split system installed by Kappler Mechanical was a great experience from start to finish. We had a 22 year old gas furnace and want to move our home to an electric (and hopefully, more/all renewable energy) future. Kappler made it as easy as it could be and delivered everything exactly as estimated and scheduled in a very professional manner. From our first conversation with Project Manager, Brett Monnin, through the install led by Beck Halbeisen, we were impressed and confident we had made a good choice. Kappler also uses very convenient business methods for scheduling, billing etc..including automatic notifications via text and email. They were completely responsive or proactive with every communication. The system is working well and we could not be more satisfied.”

“We had an error code show up on our furnace yesterday and called Kappler today – the answering service was courteous and I received a timely call back from Kappler. Since the furnace wasn’t functioning properly, Kappler arranged for Travis to come out that afternoon. Travis promptly diagnosed the problem ( a fault code that another HVAC company couldn’t apparently diagnose) and proceeded to go ahead and perform routine winter maintenance as well. We switched to Kappler earlier this year and will continue with them for sure. They are the best HVAC company we have ever dealt with in Boulder.”

He was efficient in his actions and had our system checked out and our filters cleaned pretty quickly. He at all times observed customary practices in keeping customer’s homes clean and neat. He also explained that Mitsubishi has made an air purification attachment for our unit and is having information sent to our email on it. All in all, a very satisfactory experience.”

“I was experiencing a problem with water accumulating in the sheet metal pan that my furnace sits in. I contacted the Kappler office and asked when I could have a technician come out to diagnose my problem. Much to my delight a trained technician was able to come out the same day and evaluate and fix my problem.
Ulises Felipe was my technician and did an excellent job of diagnosing the problem and immediately fixing what was causing the leaking water. He also did a quick evaluation of my furnace air conditioner evaporator coils and drain system and rewired the float switch to prevent the problem from happening again.

He was able to answer all my questions regarding power requirements, winter heating and summer cooling, and details of the impact of our current duct system. I was adamant about not including a gas backup system and he has provided an excellent heat strip solution. We went through the configurations on how to place each of the units. He was also able to make an estimate with the rebates that would be attainable (which are significant). I feel confident that he has proposed a very acceptable green solution to replacing our air conditioner and gas furnace with a much more efficient and capable system.”

“My furnace went out on a Sunday night when the temperature was about 20°. I made an online appointment to have service done on the furnace on a Tuesday morning but the office called me Monday morning and offered to have a technician come out at noon on Monday.
